Product Description:

Hydroxy Propyltrimonium Chloride, also known as Cationic Guar, is a variant of guar gum that possesses additional anti-static and conditioning properties. It is a water-soluble, non-gelling thickener, foam booster, and viscosity enhancer. Because of its quaternary polymer structure, it provides a conditioning effect that makes it useful for shampoos and conditioners as well as skincare products (creams, lotions, etc.). It leaves a soft and luxurious after-feel on the skin. It develops foam with better stability, lather, and skin-lubricating properties.

Usage

1.0 – 1.5% as a viscosity modifier; 0.15-0.25% as a conditioning agent. Add to room temperature water and mix well, stirring occasionally until it is fully hydrated, then add to your heated water phase. Works best in a formulation of pH 7 or lower.
